Social Giveaway
Description: This project was created for Royal Credit Union, a financial institution that provides access to financial services and financial literacy education.
Campaign Overview: The campaign was a multiple day, cross-platform giveaway across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.
Goal: The goal of the giveaway was to increase engagement and gain followers across multiple Royal Credit Union social media accounts.
Creative Process & Strategy:
- I collaborated with the marketing manager to create a dynamic strategy that was fun for summer and focused on engagement. We planned to run the giveaway over four days, with a budget of $400 in total.
- We implemented a “Win $50 for you and $50 for a friend” concept, prompting participants to tag friends in comments for entry, enhancing virality.
- Finalizing the strategy, I designed eye-catching graphics and crafted tailored copy for each platform to ensure consistent messaging and visual appeal.

The major success factor of this giveaway was that contestants were coming from one platform and following us on the next for another chance at winning the giveaway. It also worked very well to have contestants tag a friend in the comments, as this engaged double our typically reached audience. Our following increased on each platform: by almost 50 on Snapchat, over 170 on Facebook, and over 200 on Instagram and Twitter.
Lake Area Mortgage

Description: While working at Royal Credit Union, the company underwent the largest acquisition in company history, gaining a new mortgage division. Lake Area Mortgage – A Division of Royal Credit Union, provides resources and support to homebuyers, ensuring a smooth loan process.
Campaign Overview: Lake Area Mortgage’s Facebook account previously had very little engagement and following.
Goal: The goal of this campaign was to refresh the Facebook account with new, more engaging, and relevant social graphics – posting consistently to inform homebuyers and increase following and engagement.
Creative Process & Strategy:
- The executive team and managers at Lake Area Mortgage provided a list of loan products and topics they aimed to promote on social media.
- I designed graphics using Canva and Shutterstock, aligning them with the current season and featuring homes that appeal to the demographic of buyers in each product’s market.
- These informative posts were consistently published two to three days per week alongside other social content, featuring matching copy that offered the audience additional information and resources.
